There's always room at Huszti Dental Care

It’s no surprise that the pandemic, about to enter its third year, has been extremely difficult for small business owners.

For a long time customers stayed away, shopping online from the safety of their homes. When restrictions eased up, it was difficult finding workers to keep regular hours. These same worker shortages across the country also play havoc with the supply chain, making it difficult to carry on business as usual. Sadly, many, including some in Highland and Milford, were forced to close their doors.

That’s been true for dental practices, too. In March of 2020, when the major shutdown began, it included dental offices, which were not deemed essential. When practices were able to reopen, many had to invest substantially in renovations to office space, to reduce transmissibility. Hygienists and others who work in the dental care field did not always return, because they were needed at home by children doing virtual learning, or worried about bringing the virus home to elderly or compromised family members.

And in addition to that, patients are only now starting to return to prepandemic numbers for their regular cleanings and checkups. Many of those patients return to shorter business hours and new personnel. Some long-standing practices — including Painless Dentistry in Highland — have closed or moved their appointments to another office that may not be convenient for many of their patients.

Barriers to care are never a good thing. Over the last year Huszti Dental Care has noticed a growing trend, receiving inquiries from families seeking cleanings and routine dental care. When there is a void in patient care Huszti Dental Care makes every effort to help.

Our office on Milford Road was designed to be state of the art and our sanitization protocols have been in place a long time before COVID-19 showed up. Our team of dentists, hygienists and front-office people have been working together for a long time. We have added many patients and some staff members from another Milford dentist who decided the pandemic was a good time to retire, so our dental family is growing.

One of the main joys of running a dental office is getting to know so many of our neighbors. We are a welcoming place and encourage anyone who is finding it difficult to get back on a regular dental care routine to check out Huszti Dental Care. We look forward to meeting you.
