Following in the family footsteps

Drs. Bill Huszti and Anna Chong-Huszti are proud to announce their oldest daughter will not only be attending dental school in the fall, she will be studying at the school where they met.

Olivia Huszti will be a member of Detroit Mercy Dental’s Class of 2026. She has been attending the university for three years and will move to the dental school in the fall as part of the university’s 7-year dental program.

It’s a dream come true for Olivia.

“Throughout the years, I have loved spending time with my parents at their practice, soaking in the vibrance, fun and energy that comes from the Huszti Dental team and patient family together,” Olivia said.

Olivia and her sister Sophia are fixtures at Huszti Family Dental in Milford and Highland and in the community. They have helped the practice in many ways throughout the years and many of our patients have watched them grow. They both made their marks as athletes at Milford High School and volunteer often for events in town. That’s very special to Olivia.

“Growing up in Milford, I was always surrounded by such an amazing community,” she said. “I have been truly lucky to have such kind, positive and inspiring teachers, coaches and friends who have always supported me.”

It hasn’t been easy. Preparing for dental school is tough, then come the interviews. Olivia met with admissions teams across the country, including University of The Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and Western University College of Dental Medicine before deciding she was already where she wanted to be.

“I cannot wait to join the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry’s Class of 2026 in the fall,” Olivia said. “I am so excited to take the next steps towards fulfilling my dream of taking part in the Milford community, like my parents, as a friend, community member and dentist. Go Titans!”

Congratulations, Olivia! Detroit Mercy Dental is happy to be able to welcome a new generation to the family!
